This special issue covers a wide range of agricultural infrastructure. It covers (but not limited) irrigation, roads and transportation, equipment and machinery, infrastructure for precision agriculture, buildings and greenhouses, energy production, institutional infrastructure, waste management. Farmers and ranchers depend on reliable infrastructure to deliver their products and expand their operations. Agricultural infrastructure has the potential to transform the existing traditional agriculture or subsistence farming into a most modern, commercial and dynamic farming system. It is a critical sector in terms of economic growth and development and sustainable food production. It includes water resources (irrigation), land development, agricultural roads and other transportation infrastructure, agricultural equipment, machinery and information systems, building infrastructure (greenhouses, warehouses, small industries connected with agricultural production, silos, tanks etc.), energy production for/from agriculture, institutional infrastructure (agricultural research, extension & education technology, information and communication services, financial services, marketing, etc.), agricultural waste management systems, etc.
Keywords: Agriculture irrigation; Agricultural roads and other transportation infrastructure; Agricultural equipment, machinery and information systems; Agricultural building infrastructure; Energy production for or from agriculture; Institutional infrastructure; Agricultural Waste Management infrastructures.
